Course Description:

Gas sweetening is very common phenomenon in the industry. It is therefore imperative for operators’ staff to be conversant with the various processes available and their limitations.

Acid gases like H2S & CO2 are nuisances and the understanding of their chemistry; the removal technology and its selection are needful for optimized gas sweetening, including Claus Sulphur process. Participants will be understand how to select the best suited removal process, understand solvent circulation & circulation rates, and how to select the right equipment for their operations.

The issue of corrosion and corrosion inhibition through liquid treatment will also be examined. We will also expose participants to how to clean up tail gases. This course will be conducted in a classroom setting, with the sessions designed to be interactive for effective learning & teaching.
